이 비디오 개척자의 주요 회고전: Tate Modern과 San Francisco Museum of Modern Art가 주관 / 백남준은 시각 예술에 대한 대중 매체와 신기술의 중요성을 예견 한 몽상가였다. 그의 실험적이고 혁신적이며 장난스럽게 재미있는 작품은 현재까지 미술과 문화에 중요한 영향을 미치고 있다.

이 주요 회고전은 다양한 분야의 미래에 대한 백남준의 비전을 반영하여 소리와 광경의 매혹적인 풍경이 될 것이다. 이 제품은 오래된 TV 화면으로 제작 된 로봇부터 혁신적인 비디오 작품, 눈부신 Sistine Chapel 1993과 같은 모든 크기의 설치물에 이르기까지 50 년의 경력을 통해 이루어진다.

이 전시회는 또한 Moorman, John Cage, Merce Cunningham, Joseph Beuys 및 Fluxus를 포함한 전위 예술가, 음악가 및 안무가와의 공동 작업 및 교류를 살펴볼 것입니다. 백남준의 글로벌 궤적이 어떻게 급진적이고 최첨단의 예술 관행을 개척하고 확장시킨 초 국가적 네트워크를 형성했는지를 보여줄 것이다.

Nam June Paik was a visionary artist who foresaw the importance of mass media and new technology on the visual arts. His experimental, innovative, yet playfully entertaining work continues to be a major influence on art and culture to this day.

This major retrospective will be a mesmerising riot of sounds and sights, reflecting Paik’s vision of a multidisciplinary future. It will feature work from throughout his five-decade career – from robots made from old TV screens, to his innovative video works and all-encompassing room-sized installations such as the dazzling Sistine Chapel 1993.

The exhibition will also look at his collaborations and exchanges with avant-garde artists, musicians and choreographers, including Charlotte Moorman, John Cage, Merce Cunningham, Joseph Beuys and Fluxus. It will demonstrate how Paik's global trajectory shaped a transnational network of artists that pioneered and expanded radical and cutting-edge art practice. Organised by Tate Modern and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Nam June Paik: The Future is Now is presented in The Eyal Ofer Galleries.
