[무소유 과정 예술] 질문: 왜 이런 작업을 했나? 대답: 내가 이걸 좋아하기 때문이다. 25년 걸리다. 그래서 과정 예술이다. 2주 후 철거되다. 이 세상에 저 세상을 만들다. 불가능을 가능하게 하다. 이것이 바로 예술이다. 제작비 100억 200억은 어디서 나오나. 일체의 협찬을 받지 않는다. 오직 이런 작업 프로젝트 드로잉을 팔아서 그 자금을 조달한다. 진짜 예술가들이다.

크리스토 부부는 철근 덩어리 빌딩으로 숨 막히게 삭막한 도시 뉴욕을 황색 깃발로 지구 상에서 가장 아름답고 낭만적이고 생동감 넘치는 작은 바람에도 물결치는 그런 도시로 만들어버렸다. 대단한 상상력이다. 예술가의 힘이다 그가 보기에 뉴욕 시 자체가 하나의 커다란 캔버스였다 1979-2005 뉴욕시 센트럴 파크 게이츠 © 2005 Christo and Jeanne-Claude
