[구본창] 중국전 방황인 - 구본창 사진(1990-2021) 2021년 9월 4일-11월 14일 사진아트센터는 "오랜 세월을 헤매다-구벤창사진(1990-2021)"전을 개최하게 된 것을 영광으로 생각한다. 이번 전시는 한국 유명 사진가구 벤창의 중국 첫 개인전으로 작가 초기 작품의 '이니셜'을 시작으로 그의 '가면', '관심', '백자', '금' 등을 선보인다. 등 지난 30년 동안의 총 13개의 대표작 시리즈. 구벤창은 사진작가이자 큐레이터로서 한국 현대사진 분야에서 활발히 활동하고 있다. 경영학 전공에서 사진예술로의 전환은 자연스러운 현상이다. 상업회사에 입사한 구벤창은 독일을 떠나 미술을 공부하다 어린 시절부터 내성적이고 예민하고 섬세한 성격으로 사진을 접했다. 가족의 기대에서 벗어나 불확실성이 가득한 예술에 몰두하는 구본창의 초기 작품들은 모든 선택을 할 때의 고뇌와 고통, 촉수에 대한 욕망, 공허한 시간을 되돌아보는 그리움으로 가득 차 있다. 20세기 말은 구본창의 삶과 창조에 있어서 전환점이었다. 병상에 누워 있던 아버지의 숨결과 정신이 흩어지면서 구본창의 시선과 시선은 잃어버린 공간에 던져졌고, 개인의 의미에 대한 무거운 추구에서 작지만 영원한 존재로의 생각이 해방되었다. "인생의 운명의 불확실성, 생물과 무생물의 쇠퇴와 소멸"은 이후 작가의 창작과 논의의 주제가 되었다. 현실 세계와 영적 세계. 구본창은 시간의 흔적을 수집하는 작가입니다. 용해된 비누, 고대 백자, 벽의 먼지 등은 작가에 의해 무색, 그림자 없는 허공에 놓이며 소멸과 영원의 미로에 머문다. 이번 전시는 한국문화체육관광부와 한국예술경영지원센터, 한국해외미술기금의 후원으로 청두진샤박물관의 후원으로 진행
